We're Hiring: Finance Administrator

The Finance Administrator is an important role in the operation of any dealership. The role demands the skills and competencies in negotiating finance and insurance contracts with customers and financial institutions.

This role will require the successful candidate to work with individual customers to understand their needs and maximise the sales and profitability of income from finance and insurance products. 

The ideal person will be: 

  • A people person 
  • Good with numbers 
  • Have excellent organisational and admin skills 

The primary functions of a Finance & Insurance Administrator in a dealership are as follows:

  • Securing financial and insurance packages for customers and proposing the customer to finance providers in accordance with company policies
  • Liaising with sales team to maximise finance sales
  • Administering all paperwork associated with finance and insurance transactions
  • Developing relationships with partner financial institutions
  • Working with financial institutions to finalise finance and insurance contracts
  • Strict adherence to legislative and ethical requirements

The Role:

  • Responsible for the dealership’s finance and insurance sales administration, including GAP, paint protection and other add-on products in line with company and manufacturer set targets
  • Point of contact for sales team and customers regarding finance products
  • Work with sales team & customers to ensure the accuracy of data capture 
  • Develop strong working relationships with manufacturer finance team and finance houses
  • Build and maintain a high level of product knowledge for finance and insurance products and services, sharing expertise with colleagues and customers
  • Consistently provide a positive customer experience
  • Manages performance to achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement
  • Monitors own performance against agreed sales targets (e.g. volume and profit), working with Group Operations Manager to review progress and develop action plans where appropriate
  • Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate person
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention (e.g. new sales to existing customers)
  • Understanding of GDPR
  • Maintaining the car sales account and allocating the payments on a regular basis
  • Maintaining other sales ledger (sending statements, allocations, responding to customer’s queries )
  • Supporting accounts department by making bank lodgements occasionally
  • Performing ad hoc tasks as required by Finance Director and Financial Controller

The performance objectives of this role include:

  • Strong communication skills with customers, colleagues, finance providers and the manufacturer
  • Competent on sales volumes and margins on finance, warranty and credit protection insurance products
  • Ability to present and sell the unique selling points of all products
  • Ability to manage and close existing deals while cultivating new opportunities
  • Possess strong attention to detail with administrative functions
  • Time Management skills -Work independently in a busy, active environment, managing own time and workflow
  • Strong problem-solving ability to identify and resolve queries in a professional in a timely manner
  • Present a professional image to both internal and external customers, through attitude, behaviour and personal appearance
  • Achieving finance sales targets together with the sales team
  • Achieving insurance sales targets together with the sales team
  • Maintaining records and paperwork
  • Providing high quality customer service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment
  • Process orientated
  • Can do attitude

Requirements:
 

  • Previous Banking or Financial background would be an advantage but not necessary
  • QFA /APA qualified or currently sitting or planning to sit relevant exams, would be an advantage
  • MCC/CPD compliant in the areas of consumer credit and associated insurances, or planning to sit relevant exam would be an advantage.
  • Training will be provided to the successful candidate.  

The Finance and Insurance Administrator will report to the Sales Manager or Dealer Principal.
